About MAD Training
At MAD training, we strive to give athletes a positive and supportive environment to learn and develop both on and off the ice. We know it takes multiple skill sets and discipline to become a top athlete and work on all the technical skills to continuously get you or your athlete to the next level. Drawing from the inspiration we received as developing athletes, MAD trainers believe that “practice makes progress” and that it is okay to make mistakes as long as you learn from them. At MAD training, hard work and character development are our core principles allowing participants to grow both personally and athletically. MAD Training offers athletic training and development for youth aged 7-15+. We also offer personal training for all ages and skill levels. Contact us today to find out more.
About Ryan Mantle
Ryan Mantle (founder and owner of MAD Training) has been surrounded
by sports his entire life. From a young age, both hockey and soccer were
a passion of his; playing for multiple teams each season. Growing up in
Orangeville, Ryan represented his town proudly playing for the Flyers in
the winter and the Storm in the summer. He achieved the highest
goaltender save percentage in high school and pursued a soccer
scholarship throughout university. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in
Physical and Health Education while playing both soccer and hockey for
Nipissing University. It was here that Ryan developed an interest in training and began to shadow the university trainer. Athletic pursuits are not always without obstacles, suffering from a broken ankle and several broken ribs, Ryan continued to train learning new and creative ways to drive himself forward. In 2017, Ryan returned to Orangeville and obtained his Personal Training Certification as well as apprenticed under several incredible trainers to perfect his craft. Through these individuals, Ryan learned and applied techniques for dry land, explosive movements, and sport specific exercises. Being a goaltender himself, he understands the technical movements and training required for goaltenders. Ryan currently plays Sr. A hockey for the Shelburne Muskies in the winter and in the Ontario Soccer League in the summer. Ryan strives to use his experience and training to develop all around great athletes. He is excited about sharing his knowledge and extensive experience through Mantle’s Athletic Development and Training, and look forward to being part of your journey to a healthier YOU.
